on major streets about 10 over. On streets through neighborhoods, I do exactly the speed limit or under. You never know when a kid could pop out. On the highway....at least 10 over.....usually I'm doing 70-75 in a 55

In Kentucky, they can pull your license on the spot for doing more than 26 mph over the speed limit. I try to keep it under 90 on the interstates.

Just go with the flow. Stick with one pack. If that pack leaves you, slow down another will catch you eventually. Do not ever draw attention to yourself, that is the reason to stick with the pack.

On rural interstates I drive just above 70 mph , the posted speed limit has nothing to do with the speed I drive .
I like the other 90 % of the drivers on the road drive what feels safe on highways designed for 80 mph , 70 to 75 mph . Although in states that have kept the 65 speed limit I observed that people drive faster than they do in states that have adopted 70 or 75 mph speed limits .
In my experience the 65 speed limit only leads to more unsafe driving due to the fact that all low limits lead to no one paying any attention to any limits .
In states that have adopted real limits on all roads , 65 to 70 mph on two lane roads & 70 to 75 mph on divided highways people pay attention to all the limits in these states . This makes traffic flow smooth & all together @ a safe speed instead of the mixes of speeds that exist in the unatureally low posted states .
So I think your question isn't the real question ;
Do poeple drive 10 mph above or faster than the 70 or 75 speed limits posted in 31 states currently ????And in my 10 years of driving in 70 & 75 mph speed limited states , THEY DON'T !!!!!!!
85 to 90 % of the drivers drive between 70 & 75 mph regardless of the posted speed limit is .
The 10 to 15 % of the people that excede the limits & drive 80 to 90 mph will not drive any faster if the limit raised to 70 or 75 mph . In my experience they actually drive slower due to the fact with the higher speed limits come more enforcement , so traffic is actually safer under the higher limits .

The amount that I speed depends on how many police I see patrolling the area. Where I see no police, I'll go up to 25 mph faster than the posted speed limit.

No more than 5mph in the city because city street limits are usually more rationally set.
Used to do 75 (limit 65-70) on the Interstates and in Wisconsin (limit 65) I'd frequently pass radar cars at 75 because I was daydreaming and didn't see them. They don't care. But I've slowed down to 70 for economy reasons. With Indiana's speed limit going up to 75 I don't know that I'll be able to do only 70 on my occasional forays there.

I usually set my cruise control at 72 MPH, 7 MPH over the posted limit, on the freeway commute. I get passed like I'm standing still so hopefully the highway patrol will leave me alone and go after the others.

On Atlanta highways you have to go at least 70 even in the slow lane, and people still fly by going 80, 90. On the highways I keep it between 70 - 74. In the city I usually go 5 - 11 over. Always do 25 in school zone no matter what; even with the jerks behind me riding my bumper.
