Good point about how Toyota's problems with rollover lawsuits has been given little play in the press, unlike how Ford was crucified over the same problem a few years ago.

B A Buddy

You are right! The American made car list is short.

Ford, We are the economy! Every one of us average Americans. Go out and live! Don't let the talking heads talk you into crawling into a cave. If you have a job go out.. buy things... help others to have an income. We are not a country of cowards that live in fear. We are a country of pioneers and patriots....We will find our dreams and we must continue on regardless of the lack of good leadership in Washington.....For me I am an objector in the War on American Exceptionalism. America is more than the idiots in Washington...We are America!!

Well said, FordF2502001. Buy the American car- it is your best bet for $ now, and for our future: 2009 Focus, 24 city, 35 highway, 28 combined, Avg low price new- $14,000 2009 Cobalt, 25 city, 37 highway, 30 combined, Avg low price new- $14,000 2009 Caliber, 24 city, 30 highway, 27 combined, Avg low price new- $15,000 2010 Insight, 40 city, 43 highway, 41 combined, Avg low price new- $21,000 2009 Prius, 48 city, 45 highway, 46 combined, Avg low price new- $26,000 At a $5,000 - $12,000 premium for the Japanese hybrids over the American economy cars, it's easy to see it will take a very long time to break even. Longer still if you figure the cost of financing into the difference, and longer still if you consider the cost of service. Then, if you still have any doubt how to spend your American dollars, consider: would you rather buy a car built by your neighbor, who will spend his wages where you work, here in the U.S., or a car built in Japan, by a guy who will spend his wages in Suzu
