Ok to all you guys badmouthing SAAB. Here is some History. Saab pioneered front wheel drive in the 60"s before most companies were interested. Saab cars had roll cages built in in the 60's. They built the first production Turbo Sedan for the average public. They invented the 3-way catalytic converter that now is in every car made today.
Their midsized car got 29 MPG going 75 MPH back in the 70's.( it had a top end of 130 MPH too!) In 1970 Saab introduced energy absorbing crumple zones that became the industry standard 10 years later. Saab was one of the first cars that was designed for aerodynamics . My 1970 Saab had a .29 coefficient of drag. My 2010 Prius was only able to improve that to .26 40years later. These people changed the Auto industry. Away from GM maybe we can see even more innovation. Give them a break.I hope Saab Survives!!
