Thanks for the kind words gasman50. My father is doing the best he can with the death of his spouse of 60 years. Even though my Mom had Alzheimer's for 12 to 14 years it is still tough on all of us when she passed away. Being an adult child in your 50's watching your parents get sick and die definitely takes its' toll on you. I know you will understand this point.

Hi Gasman50. My Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep today from Alzheimer's disease. My Dad is doing okay under the circumstances (Our Mom's passing and his Lung Cancer Chemotherapy.) As you know it is very difficult to see the ones you love age and then pass away. But nobody can stop father time as we grow older. It seems to be tougher on your physical and emotional state as a grown adult rather than when you are growing up. Hope you have a great weekend.

Yes, I had a great Easter. I went and saw my Mom and Dad in their care facility. Dad is recovering from Chemo from Lung Cancer and Mom is in lock down unit for Alzheimer's disease. The staff at the care facility is unbelievable with the way they treat family members of their residents. That is all I could hope for. Finally, I hope you had a great Easter too. Thanks.
