Neat! I pass the Hicks Road Kroger on my way home in Chester from time to time.

Now if I can just figure out how to win the gas card like you did.....

By all means, correct me as needed. I'm working from 30 year old memories with a 55 year old brain. I do remember East Grand Lake. The farms kitchen window overlooked the lake, and just up the road a few miles was a beautiful beach where I swam many times as a boy. Is Loring AFB still open up north, or was that closed. I appreciate the conversation, and have a good day.

I hope you don't mind me making corrections, the Easton you speak of is 30 miles north of Houlton, and is where my mother was born. Eastport and in particular the Quoddy Head lighthouse about 75 miles or so southeast of Weston, is the most easterly point in the USA.
Weston is a beautiful scenic area with it's aptly called "Million Dollar View," which overlooks East Grand Lake and Canada. I remember two oldtime farms down that way, the Kelley farm and the Estabrook farm.

I live in Houlton about 25 miles north of Danforth, which is in Washington County, the last town before Danforth is Weston which is at the Southern tip of Aroostook County. Yorks Dairy Bar which was an icon in Houlton for decades, closed and was torn down several years ago.

Greetings from Aroostook County. What town was your mother from? I spent quite a few summers years ago hauling potatoes back north all along route 13 from New Bern NC., Cape Charles, Va., up to Wilmington Del. In the winter I delivered loads to Richmond Cold storage, sometimes the potatoes were for local stores, and some were shipped overseas by them. I really enjoyed the eastern shore back in those days with all the roadside stands of fresh produce, fruit, smoked hams and chickens, and plenty of firecrackers..

The spell checker was written by GB's amateur programmers. I never use it. The checker built into Firefox is much better.

I think it may have something to do with the clunky GB spell check system. But that is just speculation.

The word "bring" keeps getting changed to BRINg. This is strange because BRIN already is used by itself as "David BRIN".

by CookieAcct  Apr 23, 2010

BOLD has been used already!

congrats on your win, and that you are still posting prices. Some people quit this after they win the card, but price spotters are always needed, even if you get the gas card.
