Communism and bending over and worshiping big oil are not the only 2 choices out there. This type of price gouging was tried before in the 1970's(on a smaller scale). It was put down through a series of government oversight of the markets and for a while price limits on what oil compsnies could charge for fuel. The oil companies survived and the U.S. did not turn communist by the end of the decade. I suggest a more detailed study of history. There are almost always more than 2 radically opposed choices. such as Live or Die / Kill or Be Killed. Such rhetoric does not usually lead to any useful discussion or solution of problems,

It'll be a cold day in sheol when I praise an oil company after the last 5 years of being hosed by them. And yes I used to be paid indirectly by them. Still $4 a gallon?
