The OPAL is another desperate Auto idea like the YUGO, the FIAT, the RENAULT and several others that should just Die a quiet death.

It would be better to give this money to the people, where it would do some good, not to GM.

Let the market decide their future. If the cars are any good, bring them to America.

GM looking for more bailout funds (thankfully it is not the US taxpayers on the hook again). GM needs to go out of business.

I saw in a news item the other day that GM is sitting on $42.5 billion in cash. Sorry, but that seems like a lot of money to me.

They can't or won't borrow from banks. Costs too much because the banks know it won't be paid back....

GM is still poorly operated. They should have been forced to sell off Opel not use our money in Europe to save their butt. Now they want more bonus money from the Europeans to pay themselves a bonus offshore.

What kind of crap is this? I thought that the U.S. already bailed out 2 companies and that result is questionable. Next, we'll have the Asian governments bailing out Asian car companies. Oh, oh! I forgot! The Asian government already owns them.

Maybe if the GM execs concentrated on making quality vehicles instead of seeing how many millions of dollars they could steal from the company, GM might survive. I doubt it, though.
