there are lots of vehicles and configurations in Europe that are never making it to the US. Most are highly fuel efficient.

"Ford is expected to charge about $1,000 more than for one with a four-cylinder engine. "The big experiment is, will Americans pay more money for a smaller motor if they're getting better fuel economy out of it?" "
I would not bet on it...

A three cylinder EcoBoost engine? Just make sure that 3 cylinder engine delivers what it says it has. A three cylinder engine in a light weight car = high mpg, it will beat an EV or Inbred any day. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012

Reelect Obama and the gas tax will approach what it is in Europe. Then they will sell it here.

Too bad they will not offer it here. It will probably only be offered in Europe.

Students back in the early 90's developed a CERAMIC, yes CERAMIC engine which was very inexpensive to produce, had less then half the supportive equipment to operate, extraordinarily high gas mileage and would be less expensive to just replace it if something went wrong. Is there anything happening with this? NOPE! Why NOT? because it would embarrass the auto industry and make bo actually work to earn profits

I don't think so...the 4 cylinder I had 18 years ago was a real piece of junk that wouldn't pull itself let alone put people in it!

I like Ford's.
Whenn the little eco-boost engine started up the mountain it passed a Geo Metro going "put put put" very slowly. The little eco-boost engine sighed, breathed deeply and said "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can" When the little eco-boost engine passed the snobby Hybrid, the little eco-boost engine smiled a big grin and said "I know I can!!! I know I can!!! I know I can!!!" And the little eco-boost engine reached the other side of the mountain happy as could be.
Not the end... Only the beginning.
